Author L.A. Harris was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of Southwest Virginia with detours through Durham, North Carolina and Baltimore, Maryland. Her fiction has been selected as a finalist for the 2020 Lamar York Prize for Fiction, awarded by the The Chattahoochee Review, and as a finalist for the American Fiction Short Story Award, appearing in American Fiction Volume 17 (New Rivers Press). She currently lives in Denver, Colorado and is working on the completion of her first novel.
